Wizz Air continues to support refugees from Ukraine with free tickets
Wizz Air announced today that there are still significant vacancies for Ukrainian refugees for flights to all destinations on the European continent from countries bordering Ukraine (Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania). The time until when the journey must take place has been extended & # 8211; from the end of March to April 10, 2022.
The carrier ensures that there are still free seats available on many of our routes, including from Budapest, GdaĆsk, Krakow and Katowice. There was a greater demand for some connections on certain dates and unfortunately these tickets have already been sold out. However, the airline monitors the situation in the reservation system and provides additional seats if possible. Wizz Air is also placing larger planes and increasing the frequency of flights from Ukraine's neighboring countries to Europe.
József Váradi, President of Wizz Air, said: “Our hearts are with the citizens of Ukraine. We are committed to helping Ukrainian refugees and we are committed to doing so by April 10, hoping that as many people as possible will be able to reach safe places. We recognize the tremendous humanitarian efforts of our workforce and, as a company, we want to play a greater role in them. We are happy to provide refugees with a safe and comfortable journey.
