The Wielkopolska Tourist Organization will raise the qualifications of tourist staff free of charge

Wielkopolska Tourist Organization received funding from the Ministry of Sport and Tourism for the project "Online education as a generally available form of raising the qualifications of tourist staff". Later this year, the first free e-learning platform for tourist staff in Poland will be expanded.

Recently, the results of an open government tender competition for co-financing the implementation of public tasks from the state budget – tourism in 2022 were announced. Among the entities whose offers have been qualified for the implementation of the public task is the Wielkopolska Tourist Organization, which received funding in the amount of PLN 65,000.00 for the task "Online education as a generally available form of improving the qualifications of tourist staff".

On the training website launched a year ago.votive offer.org.pl there are three courses developing the competences of tourism industry employees in the field of accessible tourism. So far, these trainings have already been completed by several hundred people. In 2022, new free courses and webinar recordings will appear on the platform.

Webinar speakers and course authors will be experts and experienced practitioners professionally related to a given field. The direct recipients of webinars and e-learning courses will be people working in the tourism industry. The aim of the project is to present employees of the tourism sector with a free package of various trainings that will improve the services provided, optimize costs, and restore organizational and financial stabilization of entities.

Implementation of the project will significantly improve skills, increase awareness and expand knowledge in the field of: adapting the services provided to the new reality and the ability to create new services using the Internet, effective financial management, introducing organizational changes and improving marketing tools, computerization and automation of processes related to the HoReCa industry , looking for pro-ecological solutions in facilities.
